I. The Physical and Emotional Toll of the Refugee Journey
We are probably all aware of the way difficult situations impact us. The good news is that through personal resilience and healthy relationships, many people can journey along and make it through the healing process. In order to be a contributor to people’s healing, we need to learn some things about trauma, how anyone–even those without formal training in trauma care–can help, and what actions are harmful and should be avoided.
