III. Personal Resilience
Many individuals have the propensity to continue to function in the face of adverse circumstances. This personal resilience allows them to move through the trials of life without those trials defining or damaging their identity.
Resilience can look like not collapsing under the weight of the things they have gone through, but being able to take the next step each day.
Especially regarding children, we should remember that even when people are resilient, they can still be greatly affected by what happens to them.
