Lala’s Journey Facilitator Training
What to Expect
This training is designed to equip you to provide first aid for the soul. In each module, you will be guided step-by-step through different kinds of activities. You will analyze, evaluate, answer questions, respond to case studies, and more. There will be text to read, videos to watch, audio to listen to, and questions to answer.
Preparation
Get your “My Notes” document: Click on “My Notes” to download your own personal copy of the document. This document is yours to keep track of your learning and share with your facilitation team. You’ll be using this document throughout the training, so you may want to keep it open.
Using “My Notes”: Each module has its own labeled section in the “My Notes” document. Refer to the module name and number and answer the question and complete the activity.
Collect Materials: The list of materials below will get you ready for the whole training, which may take between three and four hours.
Materials
You’ll need:
- Your own copy of the document “My Notes” which you received in your welcome email. Or click here.
- Pen and paper
- Headphones or speakers
- Jump rope/string
- 1-2 stone(s)
- A marker
- 1-2 paper cup(s)
- Building blocks
- A note card
Completing the Course
Your final module of this training will be held in person, as an “initial meeting” with your facilitation team. Together, you will build on the work you do in this training, each team member referring to their “My Notes” document. Once you have completed the website modules and the initial team meeting, you’ll receive your certificate and be ready to facilitate your Lala’s Journey group.
How to use this training
Moving Forward
This course is designed to be moved through in a straight line. The modules build on each other, pedagogically, and the software works best this way.
To avoid errors, if you want to move backwards, go to “Modules” at the top right of any page, and choose on that page which Module or Question you want.
Submitting Answers
After each question or “question set”, you’ll press “submit”. There is no immediate grading in this training, so you will instead see the sentence, “Your answer has been submitted. Please continue to the next activity.” To advance, click the Next Activity button.
Answers Don’t Save
You need to answer all the questions in order to move to the next module. If you don’t, it’s possible that you’ll be taken back to the start of the modules, and any questions you had answered will have disappeared. If there is a question you are not comfortable answering, just explain that in the answer field.
Privacy
The answers you give on this website during the training will come only to the First Aid for the Soul trainers. They won’t be shared with anyone. Of course, if there is concern that you are in danger, or someone else is, we’ll be in touch with the appropriate people.
Contact
We look forward to receiving your answers through this training. If you have questions as you go, contact your facilitation group leader, or email Home@FirstAidfortheSoul.org
